Question: There's been a couple of times that I'm using the computer and it will black out- even if it still has charge. When I attempt to start it back up again, it does absolutely nothing. I always thought it just needed time to chilled down. That happened to me today the only thing different is I got this message:
Your laptop computer battery can charge normally, however it is reaching the finish of it's usable life. You can experience an extended operating time with a brand spanking new laptop battery. You may want to think about purchasing a replacement battery now.
and apparently this is a common issue after about 12-13 months, you know, right after the 1 year warranty runs out. Seeing as I will probably replace the whole laptop computer in another year or so, I'd like to keep away from spending $100 on a brand spanking new dell xps m1330 battery if I can.
Solution:You can change the battery yourself basically.
A battery is only nice for a definite number of charge / discharge cycles, and after that it is finished. It sounds as if you may be at the finish of it's life.To check the dell xps m1330 battery charge, press and release the status button on the battery charge gauge to illuminate the charge level lights. Each light represents approximately 20 percent of the total battery charge. For example, if seven of the lights are on, the battery has 80 percent of its charge remaining. If no lights appear, the battery has no charge.
Also, if you not very ever use your laptop computer outside your house I strongly recommended you do NOT buy a brand spanking new battery, they run up to 200 dollars and you can just take out your elderly battery, and use power directly from the outlet, this will work fine.
If you PC is under warranty you can receive a brand spanking new dell inspiron 1525 laptop battery free from dell, just call them. Warranty period is usually 1 year from purchase date.
